Posting Background

OttHtJobs posts new high-tech jobs in the Ottawa-Gatineau region found every day by monitoring these companies, agencies, job boards, etc. Jobs are listed only once per Daily New Jobs Email and will not be listed the next day, even if still active.

Posting Requirements

Please ensure that any jobs considered for posting to the OttHtJobs distribution list meets the following requirements:
  1. The position is located in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
  2. The position is for a high-tech company, or
  3. it is an Information Technology (IT) position.

Posting Jobs Automatically

OttHtJobs provides a daily list of new high-tech Job Titles with links to their Job Descriptions. It is not geared to contain the description itself.

The recommended way to post new jobs automatically is by creating a jobs page somewhere on your web site and simply email OttHtJobs the link. The supplied link will be scanned daily, and any new items will be automatically posted.

This mechanism can also be used by recruiting firms that regularly post original positions meeting the posting requirements. However, if the recruiting firm reposts positions from a partner, it will likely not be added as duplicates are not desired. Similarly, most other job boards are not included.

Posting Entire Job Descriptions Manually

Alternatively, you can email OttHtJobs the entire job description. Ensure you have indicated your contact information as no replies are possible via the Daily New Jobs email distribution group. Note: the job post will be removed after one week.

Note: OttHtJobs does not support this method for recruiters. It is expected that recruiters manage their own site and use the automated mechanism detailed previously.
